new oldies

There have been several events/activities in the last few months with photos that I would like to share, but I have had no time to share them. I know, I know, you are sick of hearing how hectic my life is but it is the truth. So until I get caught up, this post will be pinned at the top with links to new blog entries with old dates. That way you won't miss seeing/reading them, and I can keep them in date order. The perfectionist in me likes to keep things organized.

i'm what?

So I had my 39 week appointment today and yet there are more contractions, er, I mean contradictions.

Somehow I un-dialted. Huh? I finally was able to see my regular doctor today and he said I am 3 cm dialated. I was so puzzled by this that I didn't even ask if I was un-effaced as well. He also agreed that the baby was still really high, even higher than what the previous doc thought.

On a positive note, I have only gained 18 lbs so far. I thought it was 20 as of last Friday, but I was mistaken. Thankfully, the mistake was in my favor!

My next appointment is next Tuesday, Sept. 4th but my doctor doesn't seem to think I will go that far. I don't know if I should believe him or not. I told him if I make it that far I want to be induced that night so I can have Gavin on my birthday, the 5th. I will be overdue at that point, and I don't want to have a c-section if I can help it. Delivering a 5lb 11oz baby (with the help of a vacuum) was hard enough.

Anyway, I think that would be cool to share a birthday. Bryan does not. What do you think?

Undilated? Uneffaced? Gah. I'm sorry! Like the waiting isn't hard enough but to go backwards? The good thing is that in the grand scheme of things the dilation and effacement sometimes doesn't mean a whole lot. He'll be here soon! And I do kind of think that sharing a birthday would be cool!

I wouldn't mind it, but it's nice that you can celebrate bdays seperately so there is no pressure that you have to be at "mom's" bday party or "sons" bday party. Then again...you are so close to your bday anyway why not share it and have that special day together! So my answer is either way is fine! LOL
