new oldies

There have been several events/activities in the last few months with photos that I would like to share, but I have had no time to share them. I know, I know, you are sick of hearing how hectic my life is but it is the truth. So until I get caught up, this post will be pinned at the top with links to new blog entries with old dates. That way you won't miss seeing/reading them, and I can keep them in date order. The perfectionist in me likes to keep things organized.

22 days until...

I cannot believe Christmas is almost here, AGAIN. I was talking with our next door neighbors today about how fast time flies now-a-days. I remember as a kid thinking that everything felt like it took foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Driving to the beach that was 20 minutes away felt like hours. I couldn't wait to be all grown up. Now that I am an adult, I want to be a kid again.

Anyway, I decorated the inside of the house today, except for the tree which just has lights so far. I love my mantel when it is decorated for the holidays so I thought I would share this picture.

The empty space is for Beet's stocking, which I have yet to find. I would keep my mantel decorated like this all year if no one would think I was a weird-o for doing it.

We finally hopped on the band-wagon and got a DVR so we have a bunch of Backyardigans, Dora the Explorer, Go! Diego Go!, & Blue Clues episodes stored. So today Dylan stayed out of my hair and watched some of them while I decorated. Here he is at his finest:

I know you all don't believe me when I tell you that he does in fact wear pants sometimes. Trust me, that (above) is not his normal attire.

This, is his normal attire:

Some of you may remember Dylan's TOTALLY ADORABLE (if I do say so myself) Christmas Picture from 2005:

I can't believe this adorable rosy-cheeked, big blue-eyed baby has turned into the naked, striped sock wearing doofas pictured above.

I wanted to get a picture of Beet wearing the hat too, and this is what I got:

I had walked out of the room to get a new camera battery and when I came back that was how I found Beet. I hope he is not trying to avoid the camera already. As Dylan & Swiper the Fox would say; "Aw Mannnnn!"
