new oldies

There have been several events/activities in the last few months with photos that I would like to share, but I have had no time to share them. I know, I know, you are sick of hearing how hectic my life is but it is the truth. So until I get caught up, this post will be pinned at the top with links to new blog entries with old dates. That way you won't miss seeing/reading them, and I can keep them in date order. The perfectionist in me likes to keep things organized.

Happiest Place on Earth

This is a long post, but both boys are exhausted from a big day yesterday, there is nothing on TV, and Bryan is working...so I HAVE TIME to make a long post!

On Saturday we took the boys to Disneyland for our friends, Simona & Ryan, son Brendan's 3rd Birthday 'party'. There were 2 other couples and their kids as well. We got there late (what a surprise these days) but we still had a great time.

Here are 2 of my boys on the Astro Orbitor rocket.

Here is Ryan, Brendan, Bryan, & Dylan spinning in the teacup at the Mad Tea Party. Dylan loves spinning as most of you already have seen. If I didn't know better I would have thought Ryan & Bryan were a cute gay couple with their two adopted boys riding in a pink tea cup. (No offense to any gay individuas reading this.)

After Simona, Ryan, & Bren went home we walked over to Disney's California Adventure. It has been open for about 10 years and I have never been there. It was so fun, and I think it is great place for small kids. I loved it so much that I think I am going to get an annual So. CA resident pass to both parks!

Our first stop was at 'A Bug's Land' which was inspired by the Flik (haha), A Bug's Life. This little land is great for toddlers.

Here I am with the kiddos.

This was all way too much excitement for Gavin.

Bryan & Dylan went on Heimlick's Chew Chew Train.

Then we all went to see "It's Tough to be a Bug", hosted by Flik, which was in 3D. Very cool. Dylan didn't freak out, but there was one part when there was a big mean bug right in front of our faces and he tightened up his grip on both mine & Bryan's hands.

Here are my boys sportin' their 3D bug glasses.

This won't be the last time you see Dylan in these glasses. I guarantee it.

Dylan & I went on King Triton's Carousel. He really liked this carousel, but he wasn't crazy about the one he went on last weekend in Seaport Village, San Diego. I guess they are hit or miss with him.

This next comment is very random. The lady over my right shoulder (above) was wearing the exact same top as me, in the same color. I don't think I have ever seen someone wearing something I also own at the same time I was wearing it. Update: I take that back....that is not true. This reminds me of a funny story which I will share at the end of the this post for you to read if you'd like. **

All smiles this time!

My three boys and their glowing eyeballs.

They had a big 'Cars' display with 'Mater and Lightning McQueen. Dylan loved it. He still loves Elmo & Thomas the Tank Engine but now we have added 'Cars' (and the Backyardigans) to the list of his favorite things.

Here is the ginormous ferris 'Sun Wheel' at California Adventure and some other attractions . I totally want to go on the swings that are inside that big orange, called the Orange Stinger.

We are pretty lucky that we live in Southern California and have all these great amusement parks at our fingertips and we don't have to make a vacation out of it. We can just wake up one morning and decide to go.

(Note to self: Next time bring good camera to Disneyland so your pictures don't look poopy).

**Funny story mentioned above: My friend Chantel & I were going to a black-tie wedding in NYC with our husbands. On the plane she asked me what my dress looked like. I started describing it to her and she started laughing. She said hers sounded very similar. We kept talking about our dresses trying to find a difference. We couldn't wait to get to the hotel and pull them out to see if they were the same. Well, the only difference was the size (Chantel is itty-bitty). The wedding was the next day so we didn't have time to look for another and they were black so we hoped no one would notice. We had different wraps & she wore a necklace. We were too drunk to care in the end. Er, well at least I was. Here we are:

Yep, pretty sure Chantel was a bit tipsy too.

Good times!

I'm so jealous that you live so close to Disney. Looks like Dylan had a blast. The wedding pictures are hillarious, especially the last one! I would imagine having matching dresses was the last thing on your mind.
