new oldies

There have been several events/activities in the last few months with photos that I would like to share, but I have had no time to share them. I know, I know, you are sick of hearing how hectic my life is but it is the truth. So until I get caught up, this post will be pinned at the top with links to new blog entries with old dates. That way you won't miss seeing/reading them, and I can keep them in date order. The perfectionist in me likes to keep things organized.

P'Patch

We have been saving our trip to the P'Patch for a special occasion. Dylan's friend Drake was supposed to have his 2nd Birthday Party at the Peltzer Farms Pumpkin Patch last Thursday (the 25th). Unfortunately, due to the local fires the party had to be postponed. While I would have LOVED to go to the P'Patch more than once, it isn't all that doable with a infant and a toddler all by myself. Thankfully, Drake's party was able to be rescheduled to Tuesday (the 30th) before the P'Patch closed for the season, and my mom was able to attend with us.

However, due to a post-nap toddler meltdown we arrived at the party over an hour late. This caused us to miss the pig races and we didn't get a chance to go in the corn maze either. Oh well, there is always next year. We got there just in time for presents, but Dylan was too busy running around picking up pumpkins, moving wheelbarrows, and climbing on bales of hay, so we missed 98% of the party. At least we got to go on a train ride with the birthday boy.

Warning: Picture HEAVY.

Busy moving pumpkins from one bale of hay to another.

Oh no! Dirty hands!

Hmmm... which one should I move next?

Nice buns.

Reorganizing the wheelbarrow parking lot.

Choo! Choo!

In the middle of the patch they have this giant pit of hay. I don't know if they use it for anything in particular but all the kids were jumping off the bales of hay that were around the border, and into the pit of hay. Dylan of course had to play too.

Yeehaw!

2 years old and already rollin' in the hay. ;)

Hay is for horses.

I think this JD Tractor was Dylan's favorite part of the afternoon.

Train ride with Grammy, Gavin, Dylan and yours truly.

Dylan wasn't crying because he wanted off the horse. He was crying because he wanted to play with the poop rake & shovel. He has a thing for things with long handles - rakes, golf clubs, vacuums, brooms.
