new oldies

There have been several events/activities in the last few months with photos that I would like to share, but I have had no time to share them. I know, I know, you are sick of hearing how hectic my life is but it is the truth. So until I get caught up, this post will be pinned at the top with links to new blog entries with old dates. That way you won't miss seeing/reading them, and I can keep them in date order. The perfectionist in me likes to keep things organized.

Tears and Cheers!

Bryan's recruits from his first cycle as a Drill Instructor (DI) graduated from Boot Camp yesterday at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego . It was my first time watching a boot camp graduation, and it was really neat to see how they move in sync/formation. I wish I took some pictures of all the proud families watching in the stands, but I didn't think about it until afterwards. Heck, I am proud of those kids and I don't even know any of them.

Dylan & I brought Bryan's mom, Sara, with us. I think it brought back some memories for her from when Bryan graduated from Boot Camp back in 1996. She is still a proud Marine Mom!

Bryan was a DI for Platoon 1006.

There were about 550 recruits that became Marines during this ceremony.

Playing peek-a-boo with Dylan through the canopy window.

Several family members come up to their son's DIs, to shake their hand and say "Thanks". That is a new Marine in the middle of this picture. Bryan is on the left.

Bryan is home for 23 days of R&R. Yay! We are glad to have him home.
