new oldies

There have been several events/activities in the last few months with photos that I would like to share, but I have had no time to share them. I know, I know, you are sick of hearing how hectic my life is but it is the truth. So until I get caught up, this post will be pinned at the top with links to new blog entries with old dates. That way you won't miss seeing/reading them, and I can keep them in date order. The perfectionist in me likes to keep things organized.

1st Annual Block Party

Today we had out first annual block party. It mainly consisted of the neighbors on our cul-de-sac and a few houses on the connecting street. There were about 15 kids and at least 30 adults. We had a bounce house, a slip-in-slide, a HUGE inflatable water slide, a sno-cone machine, a cotton candy machine, and tons of food & drinks. The party started at 1:00PM and lasted until after 8:00PM.

We planned on having a parade, so all the kids decorated their electric vehicles, bikes, or wagons with American flags, banners, etc. Unfortunately, due to the heat and varying nap schedules we never got to have the actual parade. That didn't stop the kids from having a blast though. Actually every one had a great time!

We ended up putting a slip & slide inside of the bounce house because it didn't have a roof and the plastic was too hot to jump on. This worked well and the kids loved it!

A few of the decorated vehicles.

Chloe being cute for the camera.

Ashley, not sure how to back up.

Cute picture of Taylor.

Chloe & Chris crusin' in the Jeep.

Dylan went to a birthday swim party yesterday and didn't get a nap. He also woke up early this morning so he was Mr. Cranky Pants come block party time. I decided to put him down for an early nap and over three hours later he was ready to have some fun with the rest of the kids!

This Corvette has seen better days.

Dylan doesn't have a electric vehicle yet, so I decorated his wagon instead.

Happy 4th of July!!!
