new oldies

There have been several events/activities in the last few months with photos that I would like to share, but I have had no time to share them. I know, I know, you are sick of hearing how hectic my life is but it is the truth. So until I get caught up, this post will be pinned at the top with links to new blog entries with old dates. That way you won't miss seeing/reading them, and I can keep them in date order. The perfectionist in me likes to keep things organized.

another fat lip

Bryan and I had 'date night' on Sunday and while we were out Gavin fell and hit mouth on the table which caused his top tooth to puncture his bottom lip. It didn't seem to be bothering him a whole lot by the time we got home, but their babysitter Cassandra (who Dylan calls his 'girlfriend'), said it bled pretty bad and he did cry for a little bit. The next morning his lip was pretty swollen and nasty looking and of course I had to take a picture to document his first fat lip, just like I did with Dylan. Although, Gavin's was much worse.

He does a great 'pouty face' too.

Gavin is starting to use utensils now too. It takes both hands to get the spork into his mouth though. He is much happier feeding himself.

Later that evening the boys were watching Lots & Lots of Trucks on the tube and they were sitting together on the couch so I tried to take their picture together but as soon as the camera came out they were having no part of it.

Gavin wanted to get away as soon as Dylan put his arm around him and Dylan wanted to look everywhere but at me.

This is just a cute one of G that I took before the fat lip. He has lashes girls dream about. He is such a sweet boy. On the go constantly but still a little sweetheart. He says about 15-20 words, is almost running, loves to give big open mouthed kisses, and climbs everything.

I have to give a little shout out to Christy & Andy (and Amy) for giving Gavin the soft turquoise blankie (pictured above) when he was a newborn. It goes everywhere with him and he loves his "kay-kee". A little back story... When we were in Cabo last May we lost the turquoise blankie. As soon as we came home I contacted Christy's cousin, Amy, who made the blankie. I had her make a new one because I knew Gavin loved it and he wasn't falling asleep as easily without it. She was kind enough to send a second ivory colored blankie along with the turquoise replacement. Gavin was so excited when I showed him the new blanket. He was kicking his legs like crazy and squealing. He has grown to love the ivory blankie too and oftentimes you will find him carrying both in his mouth at the same time . If you look back through the blog over the last 16 months you will probably see the little blankies in a lot of pictures.
